Fluid Transfer System (FTS)
GVM’s Fluid Transfer Systems (FTS) are designed to transfer chlorides and other liquid pre-wet solutions between storage tanks and truck mounted tanks. The systems dispense pre-wet solutions used to pre-wet de-icing materials, into truck mounted tanks, as well as unload the unused liquids from truck mounted tanks and return them to a storage tank. All stations are user friendly and built with a sturdy construction to help endure the harsh environment of winter road de-icing operations. To accommodate needs from small operators to large state highway and transportation departments, Fluid Transfer Systems are available in two models: FTS-1000 and FTS-1500, with pump systems that output 180 or 195 gallons per minute.

Vertical Storage Tank Options
White or Blue Vertical Storage Tanks are most frequently used for our Pedestal Pre-Wet Systems. Norwesco vertical tanks feature tie-down slots, built-in graduated gallon indicators, an offset fill-opening and a self-vented, slosh-proof lid.
PLEASE NOTE: Storage tanks are constructed of molded UV resistant polyethylene, suitable for water and most chemicals. Multiple variety of sizes, shapes and styles are available. Portable Transfer Systems (PTS)
GVM’s Portable Transfer Systems (PTS) are built to meet your specific requirements for filling pre-wet or anti-icing systems. They can be used to recirculate liquids in storage tanks and to fill storage, bulk application or small pre-wet tanks. During winter weather maintenance operations, efficient and dependable equipment is required to meet the service demands of the modern traveling public. GVM understands that time and dependability are priceless, minutes lost in initial response time, allowing precipitation to bond with pavement can cost thousands of extra dollars.
GVM’s Portable Transfer Systems feature a molded polyethylene enclosure with a lockable lid, electric motor driven pump and hosing. Portable Transfer Systems can also be built with an optional gas driven engine with a two inch suction and discharge. The system’s polyethylene enclosure is large enough to store hosing inside the enclosure when the pump station is not in use.
